If the quality of life is good, then life is fun everywhere. Shrimp po'boys, crawfish boils and no last call doesn't make a place livable. Economics, crime, opportunity and education does that.
I would be perfectly fine giving up easy attitudes about public drunkenness for the things that make life better for everyone.
