I did not know a range finder was allowed in a professional tournament, just saw Schauffle’s caddie haul one out.

I think it’s only allowed for PGA Championship

They should be allowed throughout.
Most pros aren't aiming for pins anyway and range finders have a hard time zeroing in on terrain that's not a significant change in slope.
