Dallas absolutely deserves this. Much respect to OKC though. The core of SGA, Chet, and Jay Williams is very talented. Look forward to seeing what they can do as they get better.

OKC was out of timeouts and with only 2 seconds on the clock, a miss puts them in a mad scramble only able to do a 3/4 court heave. If he made it, at least they can inbound and get someone down on the other end.

With 2.5 seconds left, you miss it and you're up 1... they have roughly 2 seconds to get the ball up the court and hit a 3 to win because clock starts as soon as they touch it on the rebound. If you make it you're up 2...they're still gonna shoot a long 3 and if they hit it they win so nothing has changed. You make the third shot, and they can let the ball bounce, set up, and run a set play. Still hard to do, but a lot easier than having to get the rebound with clock starting instantly and manage to get a decent shot.
