A public figure in a public place has no expectation of privacy.
She was with a police man so the idea that she felt threatened is absurd.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
This sounds an awful lot like a SLAPP incident (Strategic Lawsuit Against Public Participation).
Paparazzi are not illegal in this country and no public figure can reasonably argue that having pictures taken IN PUBLIC is considered an invasion of privacy.
