what i think most people are missing is my tongue weight on that boat is well over 300lbs probably closer to 5 to 600 if not more. the typical scale tricks as much as i appreciate the input are not going to work.

Well in that case you can find a truck stop with a scale. Weigh your truck, and then hook up and weigh it again leaving the wheels of the boat trailer just off the scale.
