I don't turn my nose at PG13 anymore, there have been plenty of PG13 films come out in the past decade that have brought the goods.

i don't think its that big of a deal either. its sci/fi, it doesn't need to be a gore fest to be a good movie. if they had removed the couple of graphic shots of t1000 snuffing people with the blade hand(in terminator 2) it wouldn't have impacted the greatness of T2 at all. if T5 sucks, it won't be because its pg13.

so you think that if they just implied the 2 impaling shots rather than actually showing it, you wouldn't have enjoyed T2 as much??? I'm not saying if the entire scene/sequence was removed, just the actual imagery of the blade in eye/mouth.

I disagree. It sets the mood for the film.

It's not a matter of whether or not a movie is PG13. It's a matter of whether or not a director is limited when attempting to make the movie he intended to make. That's the problem with studios forcing a PG13 rating. Yes, blood is important if the director intended it to be there. It's all a part of the finished product. Let the artist work.

They should take advantage of digital projectors and release PG-13 and R-rated versions simultaneously. Ditto for Jurassic Park 4 and the Mad Max reboot.
