I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this thread since I'm moving into my first house in a few weeks and have just started to look into options for tv

I use Apple TV, Hd antenna, IPad/iMac and I'm able to get almost everything for free. If your parents or someone you know has a cox/direct tv subscription, just use their user name and password to activate all the apps. Apps that aren't on the Apple TV, ill manually download the Tv show apps from the App Store on my iPad, login with the cox/direct tv account and then air play that app to the Apple TV. I split the cost of HBO NOW, ShoTime anywhere, Netflix, Hulu with 4 other guys and I end up paying like $10 a month to have everything. I use girlfriends student Discount to get amazon prime free for 6 months and then it's 50% off the monthly bill which comes out to $50 a month-which I split the cost with my 4 friends. If you know someone who's willing to give you their direct tv and they already pay for all the premium channels then you can get all these free (including STARZ, Cinemax via App Store) For movies I use this site: (YTS.ag) to download all the latest releases in 1080p using a program called "transmission" on my mac. Once my movie is finished downloading I drag it into iTunes and from there my movie library streams to my Apple TV(s) via home sharing. I only use my HD antenna to catch NFL games. For UFC fights/sports events I use a website that I have saved on my home screen on my iPad to airplay to my Apple TV. I haven't paid for cable in like 5 years. I've found this to be the best way. I found that Using a jail broken fire stick is crap.
