Posted on 2/18/16 at 7:02 am to StraightCashHomey21
The German system has 3 tiers of professional leagues
Bundesliga
Bundesliga 2
3 Liga which has only been around a few years. This league also lets reserve teams from the first and second division compete in them.
After that its semi pro regional leagues but even then some of these clubs are real deal also have reserve and youth teams from the top two divisions playing in them.
The German Cup is called the DFB Pokal. It is open to all clubs pro and amateur. Bayern Munich holds the most cups with 17.
Major German clubs.
FC Bayern Munich - The club everyone in Germany loves or hates. They have the most league championships with 24 soon to be 25.
Borussia Dortmund - Second biggest club in Germany, with the biggest stadium. Fanatical support much like the rest of Germany.
Vfb Stuttgart - Used to be a power house club but has had some recent ups and downs.
VfL Wolfsburg - Club basically financed by Volkswagen the last few years. No real history or fan base but has exciting players and a good team.
Bayer Leverkusen - Another team financed by a major corporation. They have ok history but no fans.
Schalke 04 - Big club, good history with fanatical fans.
Main Rivalries
Dortmund vs Shackle - Rivalry b/w the two main industrial cities in western Germany.
Bayern Munich vs 1860 Munich ( Bundesliga 2) - Munich Derby
There is a huge list of heated rivalries in the western industrial area which has a good portion of first division clubs
Also need someone to do a break down of Spain - Dandy I'm looking at you
Italy - wm72 thats go you all over it
France - thats up for grabs
English Championship - S , bruv thats you.
