Maybe so but I plugged in my old hub. The blue light is solid showing that's its connected to WiFi but my app shows its disconnected. There is a warning saying there was an outage sometime in 2015 and I may have to send in my hub to be repaired. On top of that the app is only designed for a phone and not a tablet (at least on android).
