The closes I ever came to liking Hogan was when he was NWO and even then I didn't really like him. I just thought didn't like the whole good guy act.

He had the 80s Flair thing going on. I remember when he first used Voodoo Child and came out in the United Center with Dennis Rodman. Coolest thing ever.
I'll never be able to listen to plain Voodoo Child again without the NWO quotes. I'll bust out the air guitar like Hogan did with the Big Gold belt.

I remember a local elementary school had so many kids wearing NWO shirts and throwing up the 2 Sweet and 4 Life that all the teachers and faculty thought it was gang-related and sent letters home. Wrestling will never be that cool again.

That show is incredibly biased though in favor of WWE. As if DX "invading" Nitro on a "tank" is what killed WCW.

It was a little biased but I didn't find it too much.

I think the show was pretty honest on what both sides did right and wrong.

The basic idea was that WWE was constantly innovative amd pushing the edge. WCW stalled after the nWo.

I went to a couple of WCW shows in '98. Had front row seats for one. Buddy of mine dug out some old footage just the other day and sent me some pics of myself. Brought back memories.

I'm not even a wrestling fan, but wrestling in the late 90's was pretty epic. WCW going head-to-head with WWE. Both of them taking jabs at the other one. NWO going against Dgen X on different networks. Good times.

Nwo had no end game.

Executives at tbs/tnt wanted no part of wrestling on tv.

I did not have any access to cable TV when this happened. I "watched it" on one of those weekly-wrap up shows, I think it was called WCW Worldwide that would air on late Saturday night/early Sunday morning on some local channel.

If so, they would have been pretty inaccurate regarding the date.

I bought blank tapes and had someone record nitro every Monday night.

Would watch Tuesday afternoon after school.

I stayed away from everybody so I wouldn't hear any spoilers.

I loved wrestling as a young kid, I was in kindergarten when NWO was huge. I remember all the kids wearing NWO shirts, including myself. I also had a pair of Goldberg tennis shoes.

We still had the TV with the rotary knob to turn channels so I would "tape" Raw with the VCR, watch Nitro live, then watch the tape of Raw afterwards. Ahh those old VCR tricks
