Does anyone know why in the last few days Maurice Hampton is getting crystal balls to ole miss? I thought he was considered a hard commit.

Who would go to that dumpster fire?

Doubt it , unless they think the sanctions weren’t that bad, and they opened up the check books again. I doubt that though, this guy isn’t worth the risk, as he could go baseball pro on a whim...

What are the chances he ever makes it to any campus? Gotta be under 50%, right?

I had a thread about this a few weeks ago.
VolTiger seems confident it’s all LSU unless he signs an MLB contract.

I think LSU has the edge but Ole Miss is doing a good job of recruiting him. They are selling playtime in both sports right out the gate.
He would start day 1 in baseball at LSU, but would get buried in the depth chart for a year or 2 at LSU.
These are all huge WHAT IFS though. He won't make it to college, there are a few teams with pretty decent bonus pools this year late in the draft. They will make sure he gets signed.

He would definitely have a chance to compete for significant playing time as a true freshman.
Battle, Alexander and Paris are gone after this year.
Who knows what's going on with Monroe.
Stevens can't seem to find a position.
Harris looks like he needs more time.
So, really who are we sure we can count on back there other than Delpit? If Caden Sterns would have stuck, I have no doubt he'd be getting a lot of playing time right now.

He is more of a baseball player than a football player. I think he is gonna play football to get a full ride, but will be more focused on baseball. Maybe Ole Miss has more to offer him on that front.

God damn man. He would've been a star for us too.

I think you are retarded for suggesting that we give upm on a top tier baseball recruit that was gifted to the football program and is still better than most of the guys on the football board because you think Ole miss has more to offer to a two sport athlete.
What you said is stupid. So I told you it's stupid. Did I elaborate enough?
Orgeron should just thank Nolan Cain and shut the frick up.

I don’t seem to recall me suggesting we give up on him at all. I love the guy and want him to excel at both sports at LSU! The OP said what’s up with Ole Miss CBs, I made a speculation. Todd Walker didn’t even get a full baseball scholly to LSU. I have no idea what Ole Miss is offering him. But until you know what it is and tell us maybe you should do more reading and listening and less shite talking!
