On a small piece of family land. First hunt here ever. Been in a few times this spring to scount, knew which group of trees to get in. Walk in, setup the climber on the tree, reach down to tether my bow.....bow in the truck

Oldest daughter finally got her first, young 7 point. Meant a lot to both of us because I’ve hunted on this stand since the 80s when I was a teenager. Didn’t think she’d ever shoot—surprised the deer couldn’t hear her hyperventilating.

Everything the same as yesterday.
Less 1 layer, 20 degrees warmer and more wind.
In the lock -on 6 minutes and have a doe under me.
