I had some communication issues w/my CPA last year that resulted in duplicate payments to IRS and a long wait to straighten that out. I'm very disappointed w/current arrangement and he's presented me w/representation agreement for 2019 and I want to jump ship. I'm concerned that Accountants may not want new clients during Tax time. I want a small firm w/personal touch. one "S" Corp w/monthly P&L/Bal , 1 "C" Corp end of year only and personal returns.
Any suggestions?

Didn’t see it. My bad.
Have you looked into Postlethwaite & Netterville? They’re the biggest firm in BR and have lots of CPAs on staff to handle these sort of things.

I am a CPA, used to work for P&N and now work in private industry
I suggest Apple Guerin CPAs. Small firm who is knowledgable and great on a personal level as well.
LINK
P&N would be fine as well but they are larger so not sure that is what you are looking for.

Byron Garrety has a great small firm in Baton Rouge. I almost went to work for him but I didn't want to have to drive there every day.
Most decent CPAs are always looking to grow. However, you need to talk to them NOW. Once you get past the next few weeks, they may be willing to work with you, but may require you to file an extension and get with them in May.
