I would've put this on the OB, but i think i will get more answers here from the ballers of the OT.

I'm just curious what the rest of you OT ballers do with your boats when you bring them to Destin. One option is renting a spot at Legendary Marina at the base of the Mid Bay bridge, but then where do i park the trailer?

Any other ideas?

I have my Captain take it and anchor off the beach. From there I take my 36' Contender dingy to and from.

Condo association won't allow it. You think HOA's are bad? These condo association folks are absolutely bananas.

How big of a boat? Unfortunately not many options for you. You can try calling some storage places but I don't know.

Are you a member of a Yacht Club?

This worked for me a couple of times (not specifically Destin YC).

If not, call the local Yacht Clubs and ask them for recommendations.

Park it at the condo late at night while no one is watching and take the tires and plate off

You don't "drive" boats or planes.

I remember being a kid and always seeing Al Copeland park his boats here.

A guy I work with stays in Destin but rents a spot at Legendary in Fort Walton. He drops it off on his way in. They keep the trailer with it and will put it in and take it out of the water and clean it for you. I believe its around $600.00 for the week. He says its pretty hassle free and worth it.

I keep my boat at Legendary. I dont have a trailer but they have what they call (or use to call) the bone yard where you can store your trailer. I'm not sure if the charge a fee or not. The trailer parking is across the pond by the Lulus extra parking.

Used them in the past. Right next to Destin Marina and was only about $15/day:

D & J Dry Storage Inc

I kept my trailer here for a week, I'm pretty sure you could store boat and trailer there as well. Inside a locked gate so as secure as anything with a lock.
