My sentiments today: SLI looks like the right company in the right place and running out of the right time with the wrong leadership.

I really don't see them saying anything meaningful to cause a bump until after the January royalty hearing on the 23rd.

Eta ...on Phase 1A.
Next step on SWA (starting DFS/FEED) might be announced in meantime.
Next step on East Texas is exercising the lease options and they have until like November to finish those (the ones we know about). Wouldn't expect to hear about this anytime soon.

How can they reasonably make a FID on phase 1 without the royalty decision finalized?

or announce debt financing/equity financing, or have a partner agree before finding out if the royalty is decided closer to 2% or the "unworkable" 12%

Only SWA DFS commencement or fluff until 1/23

Eta forgot about grants. 48c per IRS, "The IRS will make all Round 1 allocation decisions by March 31, 2024"

Too much talk and not enough action is my concern.

As noted before, they really should be publishing a regularly scheduled and independently verified production report of lithium produced from brine to battery grade even if it has to be put in a silo until the royalties are settled. The proofs of concept are 3 years old back in a haze of PR memory.

Or more likely just sell the damn company..
Where's the competitive advantage if Exxon and E3 are also gonna have DLE plants up and running by 2026?

They didn’t answer when I asked what advantage they enjoy that other players in the region don’t enjoy. Mintak sounds like a Smackover salesman more than a Standard Lithium salesman at this point

Sorry for the noob question. Not sure if anyone here is knowledgeable in acquisitions.

If SLI gets a buyout offer, are they legally required to disclose it to their shareholders? no matter how ridiculous the offered price?

I feel like I saw this mentioned on an episode of Suits, but that could've just been a dramatic exaggeration.

No they do not. If they accept an offer there will be a background section in the disclosures that discusses other potential offers in vague, general terms. If they reject an offer the attempted acquirer can go public in what is known as a hostile takeover.

Nope, but I've been in Colorado since end of December. I'll be getting back into the swing of things tomorrow.

Using the search bar on Koch's website Koch Industries several Lithium related investments, projects and partnerships come up. A handful are $100M+ investments.

Understand the intent is to use KSS's DLE tech in the SLI leases but it sure appears they've gone out of their way to remove public affiliation or the opportunity in general. Worst case scenario at this point SLI's value is literally limited to their brine leases (i.e. access)?

Thoughts?

ETA: Koch is down 58% on cumulative $1B Lithium/Battery startups. Soooo.... SLI is near the bottom of his bag, too

Koch down 58%
