Dr. Paul Walker is the man you want.

Whatever type he does, I never felt more comfortable... my only complaint is the calous on his hands... damn gym rat.

This. I milked my “pain” hard. My wife was getting me beers while I sat on the couch. I wasn’t about to tell the truth that I was absolutely fine.

You feel a pinch when they give you a shot to numb it, and then about 30 seconds of it feeling like someone has a knee on your nuts, and that's it. Not a big deal by any means.

Someone kneeing me in the nuts for 30 seconds is not my idea of "no big deal".

There is a urologist in Austin that specializes in vasectomies. His name is Dr. Richard Chopp. Not making that up.

Edited to correct spelling of name ... 2 ps. or pp or your pee-pee

Got mine done several years ago. Never hurt any. No frozen peas or pain meds. The only thing I didn't like was sitting in the chair, awake, while he burned the tubes. Nothing like sitting there think "Yep, that is my balls burning."

Vasectomy advice needed

When the nurse takes the needle out and says "You are about to feel a little prick", say to her "Well, so are you"

Had mine about 35yrs ago. Gave me a shot of valium to start then numbed the nuts and that was all the pain there was which wasn't much at all. BUT DO NO START NORMAL ACTIVITIES UNTIL THEY TELL YOU IT IS SAFE TO DO DO. I WORKED AT A SAW MILL AND WENT BACK TO WORK THE NEXT DAY.. BIG MISTAKE!

After the vasectomy they test to see if you're fertile weeks later. Well went back for the test and the nurse hands me a specimen cup and a paper bag. Go to the restroom for the sample (this was before smartphones) and there was nothing to aid in this process. After some time I finally was able to provide a specimen for testing. When I gave the nurse the bag she looked at me and said "no sweetie, we need a urine sample"

I got a vasectomy, but my wife keeps having kids! I think I should call the doctor to get a refund or something

One of my crew got spooked and hid in my intestines.
A least that is what it felt like while the doc was fishing it out (before the local anesthesia).

"I didn't realize there were two types. I don't know which one I had. It wasn't all that bad. A little discomfort when they shot my junk up with lidocaine or whatever they used, and some moderate pain/discomfort the next day or two."

Quite honestly, the worst part might have been that cold water nut shower the nurse gave me. The Dr let me sit up a little to watch it, after the first side I'd seen enough. And when he goes for those 12 inch tongs don't worry, it's just the tool he uses for the crimps.

Usually they give you a valium or two to relax you enough that you don't mind the needle.

I requested an IV. They gave me valium and something else to put me out. I don't remember shite. It was awesome.

I had one, small incision with no scaring now. Got put under and woke up with my balls hurting. Had the surgery done on a Friday and was at work that Monday. Painkillers and some weed helped. After my balls weren’t black and blue, I cleaned the pipes for roughly a month and was back to fricking in no time.

I've been looking into getting the ole' snip snip, but failure rates and anecdotal stories I hear are concerning. I've seen 1 in 1,000 and 1 in 2,000 as the failure rates. Doesn't give me the peace of mind I'd expect/want having the procedure tbh.

Also failure rate tends to increase in duration since procedure. Y'all mfers be shooting carefree.

I guess you realize after your surgery your wife is going to have to be really careful, right?
