Lineup changes would be a start
There is no way they start adjusting routine construction at this stage of the season. They are riding their full blown difficult routines until the season ends.

I’m still hoping Kai can come back for bars in time for Nationals. Right now that second spot is a throw away score, and we end up counting 9.75s from either Dunne or Alyona.
Beam—Sami is not cutting it. Alyona cemented her spot tonight.
The best floor lineup includes Reagan and Kiya. Point blank period. Add in Haleigh, Sarah, and Alyona (she deserves another chance) and either of Christina or Sierra and they should score 49.3+.
Vault - Need another 10.0 vault bad.

We are assuming Sami is hurt, but we don’t know yet for sure. She should have definitely been pulled after that fall, and then her bad go at beam last week. It’s all mental. I thought when I saw her in vault lineup again, they are trying to reward a senior for the AAI nomination (which was a joke anyway let’s be honest. The heisman of ncaa gymnastics...)There is no reason Chase shouldn’t have that spot, unless she is injured but it doesn’t appear she is as she was slated for bars tonight, but then again the worse bar routine I’ve ever seen at LSU goes in its place.

And, I think the answe is no, but I’ll ask again - no one has any info on Brock - her full was a nice lead off (preferable in form to Sami,s) and her bars are, at least, preferable to dean. As much as I am disappointed in the overall senior class - I will give dean her due for consistency on beam - even tonight when you could tell she was off she just fought through it. Her scoring has improved with taking at the switch quarter

I agree. The only event Dean should be in is beam. Durante should only be on bars.

Honestly, we'd struggle to beat the likes of Minnesota, Cal, Denver and Michigan right now.

This team should absolutely beat Minnesota, Cal, and Denver. It’s time for Jay to step up and have some tough conversations, and for the love of God give Elena her fricking spot on bars already. If she falls, she falls. They had no problem putting Alyona in the fire last season.

I think its time for LSU to have a tell the truth Monday and come to terms about the reality of this team and with certain routines.
-Dean needs to focus on beam only.
-Durante should be replaced by Alyona on beam and only be doing bars
-Brock should be vaulting instead of Durante, if not let Ryan get out. there
- Give Elena a chance on bars, Brock and Dean are going to get destroyed post season and we know judges already hit Alyona and Dunne hard at times. I honestly feel very poor about our bars going into post season.

Any other sport studies the top teams, determined what sets them apart, and then make the changes on their own team?
As a middle school cheer coach, I even do this to make my team better .....
Why is this not being done at LSU?! I don’t get it! I’m just a casual gymnastics fan with average knowledge and I can even tell routine construction kills LSU.

So does this mean Kentucky goes ahead of us in the SEC? How do they determine who goes to day and night sessions in the SEC tournament? Is it by NQS or by SEC standings? I can’t even believe I’m actually worried about them not getting into the night session!
