Make no mistake. Mulkey doesn't lack self-confidence.
But don't you see? This is why there are stories that Baylor's current AD and a group of their bigshots had issues with Mulkey. A school that likes to think of itself as the conservative, ultra-Baptist, moral compass of American higher education finally had no place for an outspoken, strong-willed, divorced, non-Baptist woman.
(They conveniently forget the Art Briles thing, of course. Winning in football absolved Art of all sins. Plus, he was merely a lyin', cheatin' good ol' Texas boy, not some uppity woman).
We're going to love having Kim Mulkey here. But fasten your seat belts.
