remember when that was sold to us as a "rebuilding" year????
well now it's three years later. what were we building towards?
LSU was marginally better in 2019. But 2020 wasn't looking too hot before it was canceled and they fell off a cliff this season.

Paul should have been replaced after 2014. But nope kept him and now look at what we have. Yes I am fully aware of 2017. But that was a fluke. Oregon State had mauled us, we lost our third starter and had to get a all time performance from a reliever to beat them. Then we played Florida and looked like dog shite. That is no better than going 11-0 and losing to Bama 21-0.

We need to just go home! Start getting ready for next year. LSU used to be hell in baseball!

Losers quit when things don’t go well. That is life.

For the players to get some extra experience, I would love for this team to show some fight, win the series and win one in Hoover to sneak into a Regional.
For Pawl, I hope he doesn't get his 1,500th victory, especially if we only win one of the next two.

If we win one of the next 2 he will have 1500 wins. We all wish you fail and lose your job as well. Am I doin this right?

Losing a 1 run game on the road doesn’t change that for me.
C'mon man. I am as much of a homer as it gets, but wake the hell up. That loss last night was to one of the few teams that LSU is actually better than and we got a grand total of 2 hits against a starting pitcher who is mediocre at best.
If this season ends Saturday or early next week in Hoover, I am totally ok with it. It is an absolute clusterfrick of bad baseball, bad decisions, and mounting injuries.

I think Covid is hurting the perception of this team. Not that I think this teamwork’s be that much better but that last year would have been so terrible anything that happened this year would have been better. Last years team was this team without Morgan, Crews, and Thompson in the lineup. Yikes.

I’m only hoping for selfish reasons since there is good chance they will be at the Ruston regional and I can watch them in person this season.

Fertilizer!
Alex Lange was no fluke. Kramer, Hess, Poche, Antoine, Freeman, Watson, Smith, Deichmann, etc were no fluke. SEC co-champs was no fluke. SEC tournament champs was no fluke.
Only fluke was Walker hurting his arm IN the CWS. And who knows how good Gilbert would have been had he not hurt his arm.
There are dozens of reasons to be critical of CPM. 2017 isn't one of them.

Let’s hope Paul retires. He is set and doesn’t need the money.
Surely he is with it enough to realize that his time at LSU has come and gone.

frick. So now we don’t even want to see LSU in the championship series unless it’s a guaranteed win? Stop moving the goalposts.

Is it too late to bump this thread?

So you don’t think our players will benefit from the experience?
Sorry, but you take is bad.

I’ll never understand this crowd.

I mean does anyone think we deserve it. This was so painful to watch.
Great if somehow LSU wins and continues to win and perhaps makes it to Omaha. This would be great in my opinion and possible.
If we miss a spot in the playoffs then it would be impossible to get to Omaha

By “we”, you mean fans like you? Well then I agree. You actually shouldn’t be allowed in the venue.
