He's right....as long as you neighbor a parish that had hurricane force winds (which I believe Vermilion is in that boat) then you get are eligible to put in a nice crop claim. At least that's my understanding from some of the rice guys in Acadia.

Some of those guys in Acadia would have liked to have had a bit more wind in our surrounding parishes for that purpose....but thank God it didn't happen.

Just read that Jefferson parish will have no water for 5 days and at least 21 days till there is electricity.

Entergy has no idea when they'll restore power? Is that correct? I am not sure I have seen a more inept utility than them.

They have to know what is broke before they know how long it will take to fix it.

They should already have a basic idea. I just am not a fan of Entergy I suppose. I am glad we do not have them.

I live in Lafayette. Family lives in Kenner, everyone I know lives in JP. It’s not good.

98% of Jefferson parish is out of power
Kenner is completely without power.

21 days at least till they get electricity back. Dad called me this morning and said entire inside of house needs to be redone.

More roof damage from Ida than Katrina in Jefferson Parish.

As bad all this sounds, I’m pretty sure Laplace got hit way worse

I have a wife in the hospital, a baby in the NICU I’ve been staying with thats been here for 3 months and I just got a call our house has been completely demolished by trees. Have never had a loss like that or even filed a claim before.

I just don’t even know how to process this at the moment or grieve right now. If that’s your thing please pray for our family. And I was so worried about my families house on the south shore. Thank God they’re all fine and their home.

Entergy has a lot of problems...I mean a shitload.

But it has literally been 4-5 hours of daylight since the storm moved through the area overnight....they will need some time to assess before they put out any kind of estimate.

My sister said they’re hearing no running water in
Metairie for 3 weeks. Said uprooted trees have destroyed the water lines everywhere

Sounds like he had a run of bad luck. From what I've seen, most of Kenner is really only dealing with no power or water and that most of the damage is mild to moderate and not severe.
