re: Poor LSU ticket office

No way I would buy a ticket from a scalper outside the stadium this year. Imagine what. book of unused season tickets would be worth to them, even if they knew they weren't legit.

They'll just reassign new barcodes to the seat and your tickets become void. The people I feel sorry for are the ones who buy secondary-market tickets. I am sure some people will scalp voided tickets this year, so buyer beware.

There needs to be an feature in the app when fans could scan the bardcode and see if the ticket is valid and/or if it had already been used that day.

Exactly. I got the same email about my tickets being mailed as they always have, It’s a leadership crisis at LSU just like in LA and the nation as a whole. Look at the news. Think Biden could run LSU? I know the mailed tickets can get cancelled with a touch of a button. The scalpers are going to have a field day. It’s going to be a disaster unless there is an electronic way to prove the ticket is good by a purchaser. Hey a new business opportunity.

I asked if I could take Option 2, but use 4 of my 9 tickets and let it roll like that. Some family members want to go despite the masking and vaccine requirements, some do not. I respect both sides. Do what you want. I just hope LSU realizes people with multiple tickets are dealing with multiple family members who may disagree. They way it stands now in order fro me to make 4 people happy I have to make 5 people unhappy or vice versa.

There are multiple issues at LSU that bother us more seasoned season ticket holders. Just this week it was announced that LSU would forgive $7,000,000 in student loans. At the same time we get requests for donations. What gives? On one hand LSU forgives $7,000,000, albeit reimbursed by the feds, but hey that’s OUR tax money. I now tell the folks asking for money at LSU that I’ve already donated and do every paycheck and again on 4/15 every year.

Exactly. Although all us have agreed it’s time to give up our tickets. Even those who are vaxxed. Enough is enough

I finally got an email response back just a few minutes ago with all the details of the refund policy in writing.

As soon as the announcement came out yesterday. I tried to call but couldn't get through on the phone. When I got through it said a 30 minute wait time. So, I emailed.

Some bright young mind will come up with a way to ensure validity of the ticket. Who would have imagined the electronic ticket would even exist 10 years ago. This will be the same guy printing fake vaccination tickets and printing I’m 11 years old T shirts.
