Daughter is playing in the regional finals for PGA Jr league & she needs PCR test 48 hrs

Prior to the event - seems to me these PCR tests are rampant for false positives…. Any idea of this is a reasonable fear - that she will have a false positive?

Golf especially for young people is probably the safest sport in terms of COVID risk.
Instead of the PCR test, they should have a comorbidity test. If you have greater than 1 comorbidity you are not allowed on the tournament grounds.

Everybody I know that’s had a PCR test has waited anywhere from 3-5 days. No idea how to expedite those things.

Thank u for the replies. It is so stupid - but not much we can do about it - apparently lots of teams are pushing back - my kids are not in public school - they do it at home and they practice golf and go to trainjng… so not much chance for a random exposure…
Those kids in public school are just playing the lottery not I have a random exposure knock them out of the playoffs… sad as they have worked so hard to get there - my oldest is also in the drive chip and putt regional final - but it’s at Oak Hill in NY - so we are petrified they may not even let out of state people in we will see I suppose
but this PCR thing scares me as I saw so many Ohio state players have to sit out Clemson and bama for false positive tests…
