The question I have is, are any of these people ever going to face real consequences such as jail/prison time? Because it feels like an ongoing game for them, where even the "losers" still end up being wealthy and living a life of ultra luxury and privilege.
I’d imagine that’s what it’s really like to have that much money and power

That shot in the season 2 finale encapsulated this perfectly. Their giant yacht floating by a couple guys in a small wooden boat with fishnets. Everyone on the yacht was miserable, while I imagine the 2 guys on their canoe were relaxed and content

The preview for Season 3 after the episode has me really excited again. I love this show.
I thought the first episode was solid. But the scenes look great.
The FBI is downstairs.
Tell them to frick off.

Someone remind me, why did Greg take Kens side?
I don’t remember his falling out

I don’t think he was real thrilled that Tom got him drug in front of the congressional committee last season. Ken also gave him the apartment and kind of acknowledged him when others didn’t.

Greg told Kendall during season one that he still had the papers when Kendall told everybody about the takeover. Greg only goes with who has the most power.

So is "the raisin" Joe biden?

He’s supposed to be a Republican of course (based on season 1).

That and also going with Kendall
Against Logan, he remains in his granddads good graces for his inheritance

And they (writers) made pretty clear fun of Pierce and their family who were definitely written to be Democrats and progressives.
If anything this show does a great job of showing when you get to this level, it’s all just two different sides of the same coin.

Does Kendall and the dead kid drowning in S1 come back into play now?
Also I feel like I haven't seen Logan wife much anymore, was she in S2 much? I forgot.

I’d imagine it’s a bit sticky though. It could but Logan would be complicit in covering it up.

She was a fair amount until Reina (sp?) started getting involved.
But I think that’s more in terms of time/perception. You have to realize this stuff is all happening within a few hours/couple of days at most. Them getting Logan and Co. on a plane happened right as Kendall was announcing and was leaving the presser. It feels like they covered way more time than they did.

Makes sense, I always forget that since it is such a fast paced show.

I like the show. I've like it from the beginning.. Big fan of Shiv. She gain weight? Feels a little meaty around the jowls and arms. Always been thicc in the right ways, but feels bigger.
Ok, my beef, and it's been this way, is how they talk. I they're going to extremes to make it feel like natural dialog, but it ends up being the opposite. So many "yeah ugh" "right, right, butt..." and almost every character does it.
Once you see it, you can't unsee it. This is the opposite of an aaron sorkin series like Newsroom (also good), where everyone talks so fast, is so quick to respond, and has a perfect answer for everything--also unnatural.
For the record I've never felt this way about Sopranos. That all just felt so real.
Also hope they can keep up the storylines... this one was just setting the chess pieces, which is understood for a 1st episode.

Cousin Greg is just a simpleton version
Is he, though? He's the one least likely to be there in the first place...but there he is, hanging in, being a Machiavellian prick like the rest of them. The simpleton shtick is his cover.

Think how far cousin Greg has come since the first episode throwing up at a park. The guy was smart and didn’t get rid of the papers that Tom told him to burn. He knew on the boat that they would easily throw him in jail over anyone in the family. If Logan offered him a shite ton of money he would leave Kendall in a heartbeat.
