I’ve been an avid lurker for well over a decade. It has been a source of great fun - especially this board. Grew up in BR in the 80’s. Suffered through late 80’s and early 90’s. Never thought I’d see 1 NC, and can’t believe I’ve seen 3.

Finally posting bc I think I’m convinced too..

Legendary hire. SW = greatest AD ever. Saban is only coach who could get biggest contract ever (15 mil) and no one would bat an eye

He did love it here

The Bear went out on top and is worshipped there. If LSU hires Lincoln or some other top notch coach that finally turns our program into what Saban knew we could be - then we’re gonna be beating Bama soon and often. And they are going to turn on him in a heartbeat.

Why would he stay for that? At age 70+

He knows this is a VERY likely scenario…so…??Why not go home now with a trusted AD and finish what he started and then hand it off and be revered and loved by this state forever. Instead of a love/hate relationship with the gumps.

We’ve never stopped loving and longing for Saban. He knows and we all know what could have been for the last 15-16 years. I tell all my non-LSU friends this all the time and so we would welcome him home with a hero’s parade and he knows this.

ok -I’m convinced. SW worked all this out before O’s leaving was announced. All else is misdirection/smoke to keep CNS from having to say - I will not be the next coach at LSU. Until he is. Riley and others can use attention to get raises or more $$ for asssitants/facilities. Win for them.

And if this is wrong - we’ll have another great coach and kick gump arse for years to come

I would take the rest of my vacation time just to sit home and listen to the gumps melt to Pawl. It would be extremely entertaining. I assume he still has his call in show?

There is no chance, but it sure would be fun. I have 4 neighbors with either dogs or sons named Saban. The Armageddon melt would last for years around here.
