Those two wish they were chugging beers in Adelaide for Leprechaun GC

quote:

The Zurich Classic brought in 43,826 fans this week.

Just a little off on pride’s prediction
quote:

LIv averaged 33k fans a day attendance

The Zurich should get around 40k today. No need to oversell it.

I will bet you they did actually best them in attendance…..

It’s amazing how dumb liv people are. The third round at the Zurich last year had 35k. You just posted a twitter poster that said the Zurich had 42k for the entire weekend. You are literally a full blown retard

There was also no jazz fest during Zurich last year. It will be okay

Dude you make life so easy on me How much would you like to wager the Zurich best Adelaide in single day or total attendance?

Who would have guessed the Zurich would have been the clear weekend winner in golf for team competition.

You don’t really think this do you?

LIV just had 94k in attendance in only year 2 of a tournament. Their team playoff was Australia vs South Africa. I’ve never even heard of Chad Ramey or Martin Trainer

PGA vs LIV debate aside… this is the real victory lap this weekend.

Both events would have been better with all the other golfers playing together. Let’s hope for the future “world tour” with all of them playing together in events like this

Australia is awesome and in a perfect world it absolutely "deserves" a premier event. It has some of the best golf courses in the world.

But it's smaller in population than Texas. It's premier event might pull a few thousand people more than a small PGA event. Those couple thousand people don't make up for the tv revenue drop from having the final round end at 3am et.

Plus travel would be kinda difficult. The tour would probably charter a plane, but it wouldn't be able to leave until after the final round on a Sunday. Fly all night then hit the ground running. Then fly all the way back. That means the big names would probably miss both tournaments bookending the Australia event.

You’re trying to make it make sense from a PGA Tour perspective. It obviously wouldn’t work with their current setup & tournaments every week and it wouldn’t be a field of 100+ players.

LIV does a few tournaments in a row for the international tournaments. They’ll be in Europe for 4 weeks in a row with two tournaments, The Open, & Olympics.

if you think the Zurich only had 42k people over the entire tournament you should lose the ability to post.

LIV model only works if it’s going to be subsidized forever

It did have a good weekend. I think Yahoo reported almost 100k attendance. PGA Tour also had a good weekend with Rory getting a win. He seems to like team golf
