DK Moore decommitment means we are getting both Lockett and Ffrench.

Appreciate the attempt at positivity but it most certainly does not mean that.

No it doesn’t. All it means is someone is going to pay him more than we will. No need to read anything else into it.

A good receiver is a dime a dozen. Basically all you need to be able to do is run fast and catch a ball.

Do you want the top rated receivers every year? Sure. Are they a “must get”? Absolutely not. If you get a damn good QB and Oline, you can move the ball with decent receivers and running backs.

Absolutely does not. I’m not losing optimism though

There is no doubt that money is a factor but there is a lot more to it. He has lot's of family in Austin, Sark has an appealing offense, and he will have a 3rd year Arch as his QB freshman year. I know most of this board has convinced themselves that Arch blows and money is the only reason Texas gets recruits, neither are true though.

Not a fair take. Bryce is way better than Arch. Arch should never have been the #1 prospect in that class. That’s laughable

Obviously chase, jefferson, and Marshall weren’t a dime a dozen. I think our wide receiver recruiting under Hankton for the most part hasn’t been very good. I see a lot of people love the guy but I just don’t see what the hype is about personally.

Counter point, all those guys were from Louisiana. Since then Aaron Anderson, Chris Hilton, and Sampson have been equally rated talents that haven’t panned out. And can’t really blame coaching cause Nabers and BTJ have been fantastic.

We just need some Louisiana guys to step up again. It’ll happen.

More likely Texas gets all 3 than we get those 2. Lockett is the only one not a true NIL recruitment at this point. Also quite simple to figure out Lockett isn't as good as the other 2.

It means LSU struggles to pay top guys NIL. We’ll continue to get beat out just like we have over and over again

We get it. Do you really have to keep pushing this narrative constantly?

DL is dumb as bricks if he thinks UT will prepare him for the league the same way LSU would.
This should not be a surprise though. This dude has flirted with every program imaginable. I know he is always a take, but the whole thing has turned into a bad look for us

I didn’t say he wasn’t a good coach, I just think his recruiting is overrated. Nabors and BT also were coached up by another coach as well, so aren’t exactly a great example. Justin Jefferson was only ranked low because of his grades. Most recruitniks said he should have been a 5 star. Chase and Marshall were I believe ranked 1,2 in rankings. Not exactly the same kind of recruits that you mentioned.

With the run LSU has been on with wide receivers. I don’t see why our wide receiver room shouldn’t look like Ohio States. Which makes me wonder under BK are there positions that he’s willing to spend more on. Positions that BK prioritizes. Definetly o line

He’s going to Texas. Lockett will be a battle. I want him and Wiley. Ffrench would be a good one as well
