BR Sports Radio Lunch Show

I know it’s been said but it’s absolutely terrible that it’s the Friday before the opening LSU game and we’re talking about College football lines.. no one gives a shite about gambling on TCU v. Colorado. We want to hear about the upcoming LSU game. Not phone calls from Jimmys gambling buddies in Vegas.

Paul Allen will be here shortly with his "Jimmy Ott is the best radio personality in Baton Rouge" schtick. Ott is all betting lines and stuttering, dude is horrible.

They have to fill time as well. Shows have been talking about the LSU game all week that you can go back and listen to.

They have like 10 different gambling guests that rotate in throughout the week. It's awful.

No James "Jimmy" Ott (aka the "Ottfather") slander will be tolerated. He is the best in the business. If you doubt me, just go to Jolie Pearl on a Thursday night during football season. He's a class act and knows what he's talking about.

They had on some doofus yesterday that runs the book at the Beau Rivage I guess and were just asking him about the vibe and what money was coming in on.
I’m okay with talking about the the lines and money while breaking down a game ig but why the hell do they think it’s good radio to have like 6 different bookmakers calling in and talking when there is actual stuff to recap and a game to look forward to is beyond me.

Sounds like you should listen to a show that’s not focused on gambling then… there are plenty of shows readily available that do not focus on gambling.

Actually a large portion of the audience cares or they wouldn't be talking about it. Same reason why Draftkings continues to advertise during games. I watch NASCAR and you didn't see me talking about it every show.

I like Hanny too, but Ott is just hard to listen to. I really liked when OTT had the 6:00 show... changed the station at 5:59
