Do we have any safeties that could bulk up and play LB?

Most of them are closer to the size of a CB than a LB. That's part of the reason many can play nickel or fill in at CB when needed.

You will see less of that with the addition of the portal. Moving a player takes to long to bulk up and then learn the position. Now people are just getting it from the portal.

Kylin Jackson could. He'd need 10-15 lbs before spring, which I think is possible. Just not sure I want to pull him from the safety depth.

I am wondering if we have any Edge/DEs that slim down and go to LB. I can see Dylan Carpenter stepping into that roll.

Incoming freshman Jackson probably can and his style of play really benefits moving to a position like LB. I think he might slide there eventually if he's willing especially since House likes those hybrid S/LB types in a 4-2-5.
