I mean they are 15-6 in conference play.

Which is what Grambling probably really cares about. If they win the SWAC, that’s a successful season.

Who would win between Grambling and the Rougarou?

These games are likely going away in the future
The Power 5 and all the NIL they are throwing into the sport is not gonna make it equitable to even play teams from the SWAC in any sport

These are games that actually hurt LSU from a RPI standpoint as well, win or lose

Meh it isn’t NIL that will stop such games… it will be the networks

Conference is a joke. What’s their record outside of conference?

winning Omaha? considerably less than 1%

dominating the High School ranks?
somewhere over 95%
vast majority of high schoolers never even play NAIA ball. let alone Div 1.
8 of Grambling's 10 most played position players are hitting above .300.

The problem is they have two pitchers on the entire staff with an ERA below 6.75 One of which being a 4.92, and that's their ace.

I remember when Bama beat LSU 28-2 in baseball and we beat them in the championship game later on

LSU odds of winning Omaha might be 3%. Grambling is probably at 0.0001%

Nah. They aren’t good but they are beating 90% of high school teams handily. I don’t think you understand how bad most baseball teams really are at the high school level.

I went to a HS game this weekend in metro St Louis. A couple good programs that have put guys into the majors and routinely put guys into college.

The Grambling team would have score 20 runs on both teams.

But most of the kids on that team are better ball players and better educated than you. So what's your point? LSU has bigger budget and higher rated recruits, that's not breaking news.

Being worse than LSU is awful enough

Tell us what that feels like.

LSU RPI #43

Kansas RPI #61

The is is their starting shortstop in high school. He played for Rummel. Those are very solid numbers, but not freak numbers of course

quote:

In 2020, Walker (5-9, 195) batted .391 with two doubles, a triple a home run and nine RBI in 12 games. He stole six bases in as many attempts.
In 2019, Walker batted. 333 with five doubles and 25 RBI in 32 games. He stole five bases in seven attempts. On the mound, Walker was 2-1 with a 2.25 ERA. In nine and a third innings, Walker allowed three runs on three hits, walking five and struck out 12 batters.

So certain schools like Catholic or Barbe could compete maybe beat them. But the mediocre high school teams are going to lose badly

To give you an example of what mediocre high school baseball is, Catholic high run ruled 12 of their last 16 opponents

LSU lost 24-4 in CWS. Those scores happen sometimes, even to the best teams in college baseball. It's difficult for the SWAC teams to recruit pitching depth.

Yep. And SWAC teams that have legitimate shots at their conference championship aren’t going to frick up basically 2 weekends of rotation to throw their “ace” on a Tuesday game that they probably wouldn’t win anyway.
