If we win, the worst 10-3 season ever?

Does that even make sense to say? I was thinking about how this season has gone, and yes, there were more than enough let downs and heart breaks. Most teams would kill to have a 10 win season. At the same time, it was an ugly 10 wins. After this season is over (with a W to end it), will you look at the record with disappointment, or say we had a good season

1996 was a pretty poor ten win season.

I dunno. Second straight ugly season and another clusterfrick against Houston Nutt, but still ending with a good record. No shame in 10-3, but the wins sure werent inspiring.

Thats kind of how I look at it. We just didn't have that signature win, thats the hardest part to take

I will tell you this:

I sat in TS during the 90s. I'm THRILLED with LSU's current success...BUT...

This 10-win season, as a fan, was not that much fun because even the most novice of football spectators could see that our coaching was terribly lacking. We wasted a lot of talent out there, but still pulled off 10 wins. Says a TON about our players.

I remember being there as a kid. I'm glad to aren't where we were, but to see the coaching this season has been nauseating at times.

Biggest let down. I feel worse for the players.

But if LSU had anything that looked like an offense they could have easily won both of those games.

I believe the issue is how we won the 10 that we won (assuming we win the bowl game).

Mississippi State couldn't put it in from the 2 yard line. We should've lost.

Georgia got screwed by the refs. I'm not saying we wouldn't have won anyway but too hard to tell.

Arkansas QB couldn't hit the broad side of a barn for 2 quarters and we still had to win it in OT.

We could easily be 6-6 instead of 9-3.

I have a friend who is a new Tiger fan, so I consider his opinion to be unbiased. He lives in Utah and became a Tiger fan when he met me and my wife (long story). We took him to a game, and now he's hooked.

This was exactly how he summed up pretty much every game he saw this year. Every phone call after each game was, "man that was a great game, I just feel so bad for your players. That coaching staff is terrible".

Oh well.

Most of us said 2 to 3 maybe 4 losses this year. We were spot on. Played Ala. and Fla. pretty tough, just no offense. And again like last year were just tired in the end. We need a bye week around the 7th or 8th game. Poor out of conference schedule.

After Miles' first season, I always base one or two of my predicted loses in the preseason just for the mere fact that he is on our sidelines.

Sorry, I think he is a wonderful man/person/human being, but an elite, $4mill a year head coach he IS NOT.

it was an ugly season and i can understand the frustration. but it is also a season we can build on.

the people that say without a doubt that we are starting to decline are just ridiculous. to me, we are not in a decline til we stop getting top rated recruiting classes. when that drops of then you can worry.

I was a Miles fan up until the Ole Miss game. To think he makes 4 mil a year and make a bone head play like that......i was speechless. After that game, I looked at the season, and started to think about how bad our coaching really is......at least offensively. To top it off, you had all the rumors about Miles overturning 63% of GC playcalling

Offensive pass interference is called on Florida's long TD pass right before half.

Peterson is on the field and Jones is stopped for a 5 yd gain.

Someone on the sidelines or field has a clue and we kick the game winning FG against Ole Miss.

We can be 12-0 and going to Atlanta to face Florida.

You are what your record says you are.

It was already built though. The problem is sustaining what was already built
