I was looking at the SEC stats page on ESPN ( LINK), and it says he's hitting .418 in the SEC. I'm reading that correctly, right? I knew he was good, and getting better, but holy shite.

Proud for the kid. I just hate it took JJ this long to pull Kling and give someone else a chance.

Yes. That's why we replaced him with Kling.

I don't remember who said it, but someone said he might have been the best high school bat to make it to campus. He's a ton of fun to watch.

He reminds me a little of Duplantis, with maybe a tad more pop (?). He sprays the ball well and is just a good hitter.

Yeah you’re an absolute assclown if you can’t see why. His spot was never going to come back up in the lineup if we held and Kling is our best defensive OF

Obviously not trying to compare him to two goats but he does put off Duplantis and Morgan vibes from the left side. Uses the whole field. Professional at bats. He is a hard out. They both came in as true freshman and had really good seasons. I think in the end he is going to end up having more power than both. I’m just really glad to have him.

He hit .204 in fall ball. It took him a little time. Some kids thrive with the lights on.

What’s crazy is his high stats weren’t crazy. Only 3 career HRs, not a lot of at bats. I’m sure weather played into that some.

He’s going to have a ton more power than Duplantis when he fills out. He’s listed at 6’2’’ 194. When he gets in that 215 range, he’ll be a 15-18 HR guy.

We were up 3 with aggie's best hitters coming up in the next couple innings. They very easily could have tied it up and gone to extras and we would have subbed our hottest hitter for a guy that was benched for no production. Fortunately they didn't.

Morgan is a good comp. I think he’ll K more and prob hit for a bit more power, but I love his ABs. He’s a tough out

So your strategy is planning for giving up 3 and going to extra innings rather that playing your best defensive guy to try and keep the other team from scoring 3 and tying it?

He has been fantastic since entering the lineup. His 2-Strike hitting was extremely impressive.

I can agree with you here. He just reminds me a lot of Duplantis early on. Honestly, didn't realize he was so much bigger than Duplantis was (5'11" 175)

Charlie Condon slugging 1.011 is absolutely ridiculous

Did Larson bat against Florida, Arkansas, or Tennessee? Seems like he has been starting just in more recent series. But he is a damn good ball player.
