Burrow in 2019 through 7 games = 7-0
Daniels in 2023 through 7 games. = 5-2

Stop with all the stupidity of comparing the two, Daniels hasn’t played the competition or as many top ten teams and won’t. I am very happy for Jayden and what he’s accomplished but leave it at that stop with all the nonsense just makes people look stupid. Burrow also out played Trevor Lawrence, Tua Tag, Jalen Hurts, the super duper Georgia qb etc

Daniels would be 7-0 with Burrow's defense. We'd be a top 3 team in the country right now.

I’m not saying JD is joe Burrow I’m not saying that at all and do not misconstrue what I am saying.
But what I am saying is JD doesn’t have Chase, Jefferson, Marshall, CEH, and Moss. even racy mcmath was good and so was Dillon. I’d like to see jd5 with those weapons. That would be fun to watch.

I dont know about that, think 6-1 is more likely

He hadn’t played them yet. Burrow and JD have played similar teams early in season. JD is clearly having a comparable season to Burrow. I don’t get why people take that as a knock on Burrow.

If JD had Stingley, Delpit, and Fulton locking down the backend of our defense, our think our 2023 team would be 7-0 too

I think JD is the best QB in the country this year. But JB would never lose that Ole Miss game. Offense could have closed that game out in 4Q and didn’t. That never would have happened with Burrow. 2019 Bama was proof of that.

JD put up 0 points on FSU in the second half until 2 min left. And did you watch that 19 defense in the Texas game.

You are a dumb bitch. No one is saying Daniels is better than Burrow. The poster is pointing out how special the quarterback play is this year… he literally stated such. Maybe you should just log off and get back to sniffing kids bicycle seats at the park. You obviously aren’t an LSU fan so no need for you around here.

I’ll start by saying Jayden Daniels should be leading the Heisman race.

However, there isn’t really the comparison in competition this you can’t compare them equally. You may at the end of the season to a greater extent, but it certainly can’t be done now outside of each played 7 games.

By the end of 2019, Burrow beat the number 1,3,7,13, and 17 end of year ranked defenses. The LSU defense was beaten up or suspended for SEVERAL games which led to Texas, Ole Miss and Bama putting up a shite ton of points on them. The LSU offense made a lot of them feel the need to score which impacted thei offensive play. Texas, Ole Miss and Bama were really good offensive teams. Since this is a comparison to this point in the season, the best 2 offensive and defensive teams that the 2019 team played was UF and the best offensive and defensive team 2023 has played is FSU. Below are the stats to compare the 2 teams.

Daniels has played 1 Top 25 defense in FSU which is at 22 (Auburn MAY have been a Top 50 defense up to last week but I can’t find it. They certainly didn’t drop from even top 40 to 56 after 1 game.
FSU is giving up 18 PPG per game and AU before LSU was right at 17 PPG. AU is not a Top 50 defense right now. They are a decent scoring defense that has such a bad offense, they are on the field far too much. They have played 1 team who’s offense has a pulse this season - that includes UGA which has been shitty until last week.

In 2019, UF went 11-2 and was 6-0 coming into the game at Tiger stadium. Up to that game, the most points their top 5 defense allowed was 21. They gave up 42 to Burrow.

The 2023 Tigers have not played equal competition as 2019.

But to compare here are the 2 QBs numbers versus the best defenses they have played.

LSU vs UF 2019 Top 5 UF defense with and end of year ranking of 7
UF - 9.5 PPG before the LSU game. Burrow put 42 with the most scored at 21 to that point. They gave up and average of 17.1 PPG after (both with 6 games) LSU. LSU was exactly mid season. The most scored was 28 by Virginia in a bowl game outside of LSU.

Florida went 11-2 in the SEC in 2019 only losing to UGA and LSU who played for the title. UF defense AFTER the season was ranked 7th in the country. BEFORE LSU it had to be Top 5 maybe even Top 3. They were an excellent football team.

JD has 2 first round receivers maybe 3 and a far better TE. Diggs was suspended or whatever and the RBs are overall better - WAY BETTER. He also has one of Burrows backs still…

I didn’t take this as trying to say Daniels has been better. Why you’re trying so hard to claim Burrow is better is confusing. It’s just to compare to say how good Daniels has been.

I’d like to see JD5 with a defense that could stop a nose bleed.

I’m not. I’m saying you can’t compare the 2 because they have not played equal competition. Simple. I also stated that Daniels should be first in the Heisman race.

Some of you forget how bad the 2019 defense was until the TAMU game. Go back and read the fire Aranda threads. It was suspensions (Divinity) and injuries that hurt 2019. The only decent offenses they played were Bama, Texas, UF and Ole Miss up until OU. UGA wasn’t a great offense. They were a good one with a great defense.

Of course not.... not THRU 7 GAMES. Maybe you missed that part. HOWEVER, you are actually saying that THRU 7 GAMES the opponents the Burrow faced were better??? Did you look at the 7 teams that each QB faced.... THRU 7 GAMES??
