Some appreciation for the ump

For being moderately consistent in the strike zone of this series so far, which is not always the case for these SEC umps. I feel like both our pitchers/batters play more confidently/definitively when they know the right call will be made behind the plate and didn’t have to second-guess their strike/ball judgements. I remember we had a few games this year that got completely train-wrecked partially due to how inconsistent the umps’ strike zone was.

That’s what happened to Herring at bama He let the bad calls from the ump get to him.

I just said the same thing. He has been pretty consistent both ways. Only exception is Brasswell. I think the ump is a bit racist. Zone gets a bit larger when he comes to bat for some reason.
