I posted last week how this is my first time being in the non student sections of the stadium. I'll be in the south endzone and want to know if I should make the investment in a seatback. From a lot of the replies it seems like there's far more sitting.

It might be the most comfortable seat on the planet, but I can’t see giving more than I do now. At least until Alleva is fired. Then I may buy seatbacks for everyone.

And yes... more sitting. You better hope you don’t sit down n front of old people or they will yap the whole game about sitting down.

Our seatbacks are $55 a piece. I have 4 seats. In 2014, I bought 4 portable stadium seats from wal-mart for $120 total before the season. Take them to every home game and the away games I go to and they still look brand new. Including the 2018 season, the seatbacks would've cost me $1,100. All that said, get your own stadium seat for $30 and it will save you a good bit of money over time.

The benefit of the seatbacks is that it preserves the width of your seat. It takes the ambiguity out of where your seat starts and ends and prevents the guy next to you from taking up his seat and half of yours.

Absolutely, yes it is worth it. If nothing else, it saves you physical spot. Without the seat backs, people tend to spread out.

Protects your 18" of space. But, wait, that was only an issue when fans attended games, and we had a full stadium.

Yes - if not for the cushion and the back, then to keep the two huge dudes on the side of me from slowly pushing me out into the aisle. It's bolted down, so your seat is your seat.

Yes!!! If for no other reason than to keep the fat arse in the seat next to you out of your space!!

I meant the fat arse on the other side, not my wife.

I personally hate them. Got them once a few years ago and found them uncomfortable and never ordered them again.

Now...they are good for keeping and holding your seat location if that becomes an issue in your section..

They were for me. Show up, they are there, and leave. No worries and they actually help to hold your seat from imposing hips!!

What happens when the people next to you also have seatbacks?

If you prefer that than the bench, then yes it’s worth it just to not have to carry a portable seat around.
They are comfortable for sure. My brother and I would sit in the ones next to us when those people left early or didn’t show up. This year I ordered two for our seats.

Yes sir it does, very helpful when the guy next to you weighs 3 bills.

Agree with the majority - worth it to get their seats. We drive from Alabama and do not want to worry with carrying our own. Plus, as others have said, it protects your little "piece of the stadium." Have also used it as a selling point if we can't attend and sell on stub hub.
