We are pinning our hopes of winning the series to a guy who has a 10.97 ERA

Bad managing. Bad play. Poor situational hitting. Awful in extra innings.

Go Astros, rabble rabble.

Oh no, another stock lefty that doesn't throw hard and doesn't have plus breaking stuff

Announce Yainer, JP, or Dubie in the 2nd spot in the lineup Espada

Espada is 1-8 in 1-run games. That win being Caratini's walk-off HR the other night with 2 outs. Espada will not last with this organization

I said it the other night and this is proof I'm right. The baseball version of Willie Green.

I guess I had way too high an expectation of him cuz he really has not been good.

If we don't use small ball, why don't we lean into a few pitches, Don Baylor style.

The only points I’ll give him are willingness to tinker with the batting order (Baker would have continued to trot Abreu out in the 5 hole everyday) and considerably reducing the rest days. (Although I wonder if that is a function of us being so bad, it would look terrible to sit guys like Altuve, Tucker etc.)

His in game strategy hasn’t been good at all and he has punted in the late innings of games that weren’t necessarily sure losses.

This whole thing has been a mess. Bad coaching, bad pitching, and poor situational hitting.

It's tough because this has become the year other than the COVID joke where the team really needs to thread the needle with managing. I don't know how much management meddles but I also don't think Hinch or Baker would be faring any better right now.

Would be nice for Bregman to be decent and Yed to start being Yed.

Kyle Tucker has finally bucked his habit of starting slowly and is on track for a huge year. However everybody else is kind of shite

Altuve can't hit with runners on base

Yed is in a miserable slump

Bregman died

Yainer has gone stagnant after a hot first week (.229 over last 21 games)

Chas and Jake have done nothing with their starting gigs

Abreu

Though Pena has been a positive

Friendly unsolicited advice: the “spaghetti” was barely funny / clever to begin with and certainly isn’t funny now a few weeks later.

Would you be shocked to hear that the Astros have the worst record in the MLB when going to extra innings? 18-33

So their terrible record in the Wiffle ball portion of games wasn’t my imagination.

I’d say the results seem to be random. But I’ve seen the Astros struggle enough with a runner at second and none out when real baseball is played to know that their shitty situational approach is directly responsible for the putrid record.
