IF we trade BI for Murray or Trae or whoever and add a 5 and have 10-11 pieces, I don't think we can then say, "welp, we have an 11 man rotation, we're good to go."

and i'm not saying we can't upgrade our bench, but the trades being discussed for BI have only included role players outside of going after Trae.
Murray is a nice piece, but i'd consider that the worst deal we should make if it were for Murray and whatever else. We'd still be hunting for that true #2 scorer to play with Zion/Murray/Trey/Herb.

You may think Bogdan is better than Dyson or Hawkins not but not worth it due to money and/or potential of the other 2, that's fine. But it's also a fair argument that a Bogdan type is absolutely better than some of our rotation dudes so we should at least consider those types of dudes to to take the place of lesser players, even if they are younger dudes we think have potential.

I get all of that.
I do'nt care about that right now. I care about getting back the main piece in a BI deal. Trae is the only deal anyone has proposed that gets us a guy who's at least equal or better to BI.

I'll say it again.
Paul George or Harden. Clippers aren't running it back.
KD or Booker. Phoenix isn't running it back.
Now their idiot rich owners might run it back, but i think they both realize a shake up is needed. BI is a very nice consolation if it comes with 1sts.
Donovan Mitchell
Damian Lillard
Bam
MPJ
KAT
Markannen
Fox

Maybe the Kings want to kind of blow it up and start over. That's when you look to send BI to the Pistons for #5 and Duren and send #5 and a slew of picks to the Kings for Fox.

That's the kind of guys we should be trying to figure out how we can get them.

CJ/Ingram/Nance/Alvarado for Young/Okongwu/Bogdanovic
Who adds picks?

Both teams would benefit from that IMHO.

Pelicans:
PG: Young/Daniels
SG: Jones/Bogdanovic/Hawkins
SF: Murphy/Bogdanovic/Marshall
PF: Williamson/Murphy/JRE
C: Okongwu/[Filler]

Hawks:
PG: Murray/Alvarado
SG: McCollum/Bufkin/Griffin
SF: Ingram/Hunter/Johnson/Griffin
PF: Sarr/Hunter/Nance/Johnson
C: Capela/Fernando/Nance

Not sure why you are valuing Murray less than Ingram as a scorer and facilitator. Their stats are vy. close + Murray attempts more 3s, is a better ball handler and is more available:

2023-2024 Season Stats:

Ingram.
64 games
20.8 points
5.1 assists
5.7 rebounds
49.2% FG
35.5% 3pt
80.1% FT

Murray
78 games
22.5 points
5.3 assists
6.4 rebounds
45.9% FG
36.3% 3pt
79.4% FT
