Man hes playing like Herb on defense. Dude is smiling at Murray while absolutely abusing him. Its fun to see.

I love Hart but him playing 48 minutes of a playoff game is fricking insane. Hope his body holds up.

Wolves are lit tonight. Gdamn. I thought they would be a good matchup for the Pels with Zion but after seeing them dismantle Denver, no way.

Sad reality check is we aren’t close to these guys. Even if you want to stretch it and call Zion and ANT a wash, the rest of the TWolves are a far better team than the rest of the Pels

Currently no. But this was also a play-in team last year with basically the same guys. Honestly the biggest difference is that Ant has took a huge leap. One can hope Zion takes that leap.

Why does everyone always pretend Zion doesn't abuse Gobert and co. when we play the Wolves?

a Zion led Pelicans team hasn't lost to the Wolves since January of 2021. We're 4-0 and have averaged 124 points per game with Zion against the Wolves since they got Gobert.

All that is true. But we talking about playoffs. If you see this Minn team and say, “yeah, we are 4-0 against them”, then you are fooling yourself.

I loved NAW when he was here but he definitely isnt "one that got away". We gave him every chance to be a long term piece here and he never seized that opportunity. Remember how green of a light NAW had to start that 21-22 season? He also was never a good defender here. He definitely reinvented his game to stick around the league. Good for him

How much of some players not developing is due to other players coming up and completely supplanting them?

We had plans for several players that were derailed by guys like Herb stepping up and showing themselves worthy of playing time. Combine that with some of the guys in question getting injured and missing time (Kira, for example) and their window closed here.

Hart is definitely the guy I miss them most. We should have hung on to him.

Hart’s the ultimate teammate and I’m very happy for his success with the Knicks. I just don’t think he would have been that level of player here without an infusion of talent elsewhere and, unfortunately, he was the cost to get a CJ and a Nance to mix things up.

Piping hot take incoming. I think this just reveals that the Nuggets aren't leaps and bounds above everyone like we've been lead to believe. They swept the 800 year old Lakers, but barring two Murray miracle shots and Lebron bricking a wide open three....the series was close and could have gone either way. Nuggets are great, don't hear me wrong. I just don't buy into the notion that they are leaps and bounds above everyone.

Was cheering for NAW and JHart last night for sure.

Yep. Not even remotely.

Ant is in a different stratosphere than Zion right now.

That's true about Herb. But, the whole process between the AD trade and CJ trade was completely bungled. After Hart and NAW came in on draft night with Lonzo and BI, we immediately signed JJ Redick when we already had Jrue. Even when we traded Jrue, we brought in Bledsoe as a starter. I'm happy about where we are with Herb and Trey, but it's clear that Griffin always saw Hart as fill in from the AD trade.

I think he saw Hart as a “glue guy”, meaning 6th-7th man wherever we had to fill a hole.

While I can't disagree, we have seen glimpses of Zion playing at that level. He needs to have complete buy in this offseason, on and off the court. They also need to hit on the BI stuff this offseason, obviously.

The thing they can't control (well could control I guess, but won't) is Finch and staff vs Willie and staff.

And this is the problem with the NBA draft.

These guys most often, if they ever get good, its for their 2nd or 3rd or 4th team, not the team that drafted them
