pocket presence. he also panics, as if that's going to change anything. he needs to get on the "slow is smooth, smooth is fast" plan.

Absolute biggest flaw last year, correct that and they probably win 2-3 more games last year

I’m still in awe why we chose this guy as our QB.. we took someone else’s leftovers and trying to make it lobster.

Carr’s red zone struggles have been the biggest thing holding him back from being pretty good. I don’t know if it’s arm strength problem, confidence problem or lack of running ability problem but he’s always been bad in the red zone, even when he played in Oakland.

Hopefully a new offense and some PA rollouts will do the trick.

Biggest flaw is he’s a finished product well into his 30s at this point and that product has never really amounted to anything great outside of a couple of seasons. He’s not overly bright as a qb. He is what he is and you better have a team with the talent is the 9ers or similar around him for him to have any success in the playoffs. He’s never going to carry you.

It would help if the Saints remember the screen game now and then.

Redzone efficiency, but throws on fade routes to be more specific. This is 100% on him, why he chose to fire fast balls in on 5 yard fade routes I will never understand. He shows touch on 50 yard pass but doesn't on 5 yards.

What did not help him was Carmichael having Olave & Shaheed running those fade routes at 6' and shorter when we had 6'6" Jimmy Graham on the sidelines, or 6'4" AT Perry on the sidelines, or 6'5" Juwan Johnson pass block then releasing on a crossing route....

Next would be his overall mindset. Carr was such a mixed bag last year with good games with great throws to horrible games with terrible decisions. He would get rattled at times from our terrible o-line to the point where even on plays where he actually had time he would scramble out of the pocket unnecessarily or throw to his check down before his main read was even finished running his route down field. This is one that I believe scheme can fix a lot of, and then can compound into his overall confidence and trust in the offensive playcalling

Recognition of a rush pre snap is terrible and an albatross around the neck of the lineman

I am going to be optimistic and say that a lot of his problems in the middle of last year were due to his injury.

Hard to say just one, but the check down is a big thing.

He’s also just not a winner. The NFL is dominated by guys that make the critical play at the critical time. He doesn’t do it even close to often enough.

Study between series. He's no student of the game like Drew was.
