For those making fun of the hire you should listen to what came out of Raheem Morris mouth . Now look at the mirror at what you got. You are stuck with D.A. For at least 2 more years. “Keep doing what you are doing!”

Are you trying to get someone on this board to defend Dennis Allen? Raheem Morris = Peppy Dennis Allen. They both suck, but at least we are closer to being rid of Dennis Allen. The Falcons hired Morris knowing they will be searching for another head coach in 3 years.

Both have coached at two places. 4 full seasons (one is a COVID season)
Allen is 24-46 0.343
0.222 at his first gig with the Raiders, 8-28.

The guy who replaced him that season, Tony Sparano went 3-9
Jack Del Rio went 7-9 the following season
With the Saints he is 16-18 0.471

Morris is 21-38 0.356
With Tampa Bay he was 17-31 0.354

Greg Schiano took over the next season and went 7-9

Looking at those, I am not sure why anyone would think Morris is a better coach than Allen or that he will somehow outperform Allen. Don't get me wrong, he may, but nothing about his resume makes me think he would be anything other than a marginally better head coach and possibly worse. Only time will tell for either.
It may be noteworthy that Morris' high water mark came in his second year and he has not come close to matching it while DA's high water mark was last season and his previous best was the season prior. But again, only time will tell for these things.
