Kaepernick happened, Obama happened, and it’s become just a “thing you do” as a black person to hate white people.

WOW. An Athlete exercising free speech and a black man getting elected president increased black hatred of white people. After some, what, nearly 400 years of oppression and brutalization, these 2 events are anywhere on the map of reasons black folks can conjur up hatred for white folks. No, my friend, those events only made it possible for more black people to display their hatred and ignorance......

quote:

I’ll give you an example. I was visiting NOLA (hometown) and saw a friend I hadn’t seen in 10 years. She’s mixed, white dad black mom. Fast forward to 2022. She picks me up from my hotel, all of a sudden she’s speaking thick Ebonics. She did not speak even remotely that way in high school, in fact I didn’t even know she was black until I knew her for several years. I playfully gave her shite about it, and she goes “I’ve always spoken this way I just toned it down in front of white people” (total bullshite, she was one of the most loved people in HS, wayyyy more well liked than I was, and none of her other black friends “toned it down” around me in HS).

So how does her speech habits, affected or those she possesses when not on guard, insinuate that she hates white people more today than when y'all were in high school? How does impact an increase in black people's hatred for white people? And how would you know if they toned it down or not? Were you, at some point, around them when you were black also?

I have a thick appalachian accent. I tone it down in business settings. When my 84 year old dad and I are in a boat together we sound like Maw and Paw Rugg. When I am in a conference room holding a meeting I sound like I came from the mid Atlantic of French Huguenot stock. Folks do this. It is a thing. It is not indicative of them hating anyone.

I think the negative part is assuming that different color means you must have different values. I don’t know why we got to this point.

I don't think we do have different values when we are similar in terms of economics. I smoke cigars in a shop near me where the customer base is almost entirely black. Those who smoke on site....loads of white customers buy them and smoke them elsewhere, and the owner is white. Inevitably smoking cigars amongst a bunch of men leads to discussing value related issues. Keep in mind cigar smoking is an expensive habit....not many poor black men are smoking cigars in that shop....in fact, judging by their vehicles and their clothes they are solidly upper middle class. They are as conservative as ANY upper middle class white man I ever knew...more so on many issues.

On the flip side of that coin go to areas where white folks are poor as hell....I grew up as white trash....and the similarities between their values and those of poor black people...are nearly identical.

Age is also more indicative of similarities in values than race. Old poor black folks are pretty damned conservative and share basically the same set of values as poor old white folks.

Is there a difference between poor young black folks and middle class white folks? Without a doubt....is it based on race or economics?

Segregation is mostly economic/class. Rich blacks, or even most middle class blacks, aren't living in the hood.

Also, no poor whites live in my neighborhood.

Exactly. Blacks and whites have different cultures. As do Latinos and Asians. Not saying one is superior to the other, they are just different. And most people want to live around and socialize with others who share the same culture. It doesn't make anyone racist or prejudiced. People are just more comfortable with whatever they have a general familiarity with.

Its human nature, it ain't racism. Most of us also have some concept, flawed as it is, that our race is a little better than others....or that people who are similar to us are a little better. Again, human nature, not racism, at least in the way the term is used today. What is racist is acting on these basic human tendencies....dismissing people because they are different, that sort of thing. Its also important to keep in mind that it is not that long ago that acting on those tendencies was codified in the United States and many people impacted by that codification are still alive and have influenced almost everyone still alive....it will take a minute to get over that on both sides.

Hey dumbass, you weren’t there. You don’t know her. She said she is bitter towards white people. There was a marked difference in the way she acted towards me that was not there when we hung out every day at school.

Also, no, she didn’t tone it down. I’m sure there are some black people who spoke dramatically differently around white people but most of them as a whole didn’t tone down their accents nor should they have. I don’t buy that bullshite excuse. This isn’t a Rosa Parks movie. It’s real life. Black people and white people hung out at my school all the time. Around each other and around themselves. Some had thicker accents than others. None of the kids gave one fraction of a shite.

What she did was imitate an accent so she could be part of the victim crew. It didn’t even sound natural. Do you realize how hard it is to actually change your accent convincingly? I heard her talk 2 ways in her life. Like a stereotypical white girl from New Orleans, and like a stereotypical black girl from New Orleans (recently). The black accent sounded forced and cheesy as hell. I know what one sounds like. I grew up around it. And I also know what a fake one sounds like. This was a fake one. Again, you weren’t there so stop white knighting for a bunch of black people who for the most part do not like white people.

Keep coddling black America because their ancestors were treated badly once, just like everyone else’s. For some reason the US is the only one that feels perpetually responsible.

An athlete exercising free speech over black people getting shot for doing dumb shite. This same athlete black America worships has refused to be an activist or participate in the cause other than getting his face on the cover of TIME magazine, and he did it because he wanted to act out due to the fact that he was losing his starting job really soon with the 49ers. It was a brainless, stupid movement and anyone who buys into it is a dumbass.

If she were a friend sounds like a missed opportunity to have a dialogue because your fee fees got in the way. You said it was time to leave when she said she was bitter. Doesn't sound like much of friendship.

So give me a history lesson. Who are these other people whose ancestors were treated as badly as black folks? What group of people in the US were considered property whose children could be sold to the highest bidder into a life of forced servitude. I will give you a clue...no one.

I know, I know, all of them folks are dead. That shite don't count.

What about a group of people whose skin color, other than black, made it illegal for them do something as simple as drink from a water fountain? That was 1964 so anyone older than 60 in the US lived in that era. There are about 5 million black folks in the US 65 years or older who were as old as 5 when it technically became legal for them to drink out of a water fountain that white people used. That ain't that long ago. I suppose there were similar laws against brown folks doing the same thing.

I live in south texas which is mostly white and hispanic. Most younger Hispanics (30s and younger) are mostly assimilated into the white american culture it seems to me. There aren’t so many black people around (probably around the national average and in the small towns there might be 20 in the whole town) but I think we seem to have less racial issues than most places.
I’m in my mid 20s so I can’t say how it used to be but growing up everybody’s favorite athletes, musicians, and actors were mostly black. Nobody thought about race and black people were cool. Things definitely started to change during obamas presidency regarding how black people saw whites and to an extent vice versa and it seems like we live in a completely different world.
Most black people are fun and cool and whatever but a lot do seem to really hate whites it seems. I’m not sure what can be done to fix this. On the other hand so many of them are marrying whites (men and women) that they are slowly becoming less and less black every generation. Seems like you say way more lighter black kids than darker. At least I do.

Fast forward to 2024 and it seems like everybody is sort of racist honestly. But there are also sort of cultural divides between the black people that are militantly anti white and then black people who hang with white people and don’t care. and this is true although maybe to a lesser extent with the other minorities.
All the racist white people I know all still have non white friends and if anything they friendly racial banter with each other.
I also know a ton of Hispanics that are way more militantly pro trump or racist (towards other minorities) than the average white person. Like, most of the Hispanics I know it seems. Lol.

She trashed white people for about 90% of our hang. I think black people have gotten too used to being able to push around white people with the guilt card. I hadn’t seen her for several years. If I trashed black people she would’ve left, posted about it on Instagram. Black people cannot handle what white people have to handle, and hide behind “muh ancestors” to justify the whining. As for you, you’re either a black “victim” or a white cuck who feels guilty about something you didn’t do. There’s a difference between having hurt feelings (which is what most black people have) and just not wanting to put up with being talked down to by a girl who’s had ample privileges and handouts that no other race has. Maybe you’re just mad black America, somehow, hasn’t been able to take advantage of their privileges. I wonder what they do when whitey gets fed up with their tax dollars being wasted on food stamps to buy Funyuns and Airheads. The NAACP is freaking out over St. George already. 33 states will have banned DEI by the end of the year. Affirmative action at the university level is going bye bye. I think they’ll all of a sudden put some hate aside when whitey stops holding their hands.

Yeah man, we should penalize white people indefinitely for it while black people commit 50% of the murders despite being 12% of the population, blaming the white man for keepin em down. Move on, or don’t… but it’s not really doing black America any favors. White people are going to keep planning for the future, prioritizing family, careers, and goals, and black people can keep on whining if they want. It makes no difference to white America other than having to listen to the whining and worrying about Walgreens’ shutting down due to all the looting.

Also, we should keep lowering the standards for schools and cancelling SAT testing because despite all the handouts, black America is still lagging behind. And not just behind white people. All people of color. Including black people from Africa. There’s a reason African blacks and American blacks don’t get along. They don’t understand what all the bitching is about.

Wahhhh wahhhh wahhh. Talk about fee fee’s. Cry about it more. Black Americans’ identity is on victimhood and rebellion, which explains the disastrous behavior from black America and the incessant whining. If they somehow come to grips with the fact that they’re not victims anymore, they’ll have nothing left and will have to earn what they want like the rest of us. You talk about feelings? Black culture is founded on hurt feelings, even though they were all born into a society that continuously kisses their asses.

Do what you want, just please try not to get Walgreens’ shut down in my neighborhood. Also, I want to thank black America for locking all the shampoo at Target.

I’m in my 50s, lived my first 14 years in New Orleans and then moved to Shreveport. Always went to public school. Black people even in the 80s talked absolutely nothing like they talk now on average, at least HS kids. Have one graduated and one in HS now and it’s astonishing how much more ghetto they speak and how much more disrespectful they’ve become. Black culture has received all the help in the world and still taken a massive step back even since the 80s.

Not really, the poorest white zip code has less crime and better performing schools than the richest majority black zip code.

My personal encounters with black individuals is always positive. Not talking about road rage and tribal activities.

I live in the MAGAest of all MAGAlands.
