Lake Charles’ Capital One Building to be demolished

Whatever you think of Lake Charles, this will be a huge impact on the city’s downtown look. I guess it was either in too bad of condition to fix, or it didn’t make sense to economically.

If I’m lake Charles I’m more worried about that bridge collapsing before I’d worry about that building.

That building did nothing for downtown. From what I’ve seen on Facebook they have made big improvements to downtown and the lake area. I don’t think there is a need for high rise buildings in cities that small anymore. Since 2000, there’s been one “skyscraper” building constructed in Louisiana that wasn’t a casino.
