Good for Lake Charles!

Are they going to tear down their only skyscraper or not? I hope they can convert it into a mixed use hotel/office building.

Best of luck to them. Aside from Luna's, it's like nothing can last down there.

Louisiana has this weird thing where the bigger cities' downtowns have nothing going on outside of NOLA. BR used to have a night life.

Always thought LC should make a river walk on the lake front. Perfect spot for it.

When people come over that (I-10) bridge, we want you to see more than just refineries,” he said. “We want you to see a community that loves the outdoors.”

Mayor Nic Hunter said city officials noticed a lack of waterfront activities along the lakefront. He said Lake Area Adventures will draw in locals and tourists along Interstate 10.

“Our welcome sign to the rest of the world continues to get brighter and better,” Hunter said. “You cannot buy this view or experience on Amazon.”

Why has this not been done in Baton Rouge at City Park Lake?

Oh, right, I forgot about our glorious Baton Rouge Metro Council and their zoning abilities.

It sure does have a nice ring to it. Some of the businesses on the north side of the lakefront that failed were:

Mercury Fish and Chips
Titanic Canoe Rentals
Miso Harnay Sushi
Hook,Lyne, & Sinkah (names in Real Estate you can trust)
