One of the last beacons of light in this dying state is slowing having its flame extinguished due to over development with no real plan before it happens.

Anyone who has witnessed the actions of Ascension Parish knows an area can't start hardcore develop until the infrastructure is in place and then the development, itself, has to be done right.

What we are about to see in God's country is a population explosion we've never seen before...and all the leaders can think about is the "tax revenue" it will bring in...not realizing that, if the development is rushed and done poorly, for every dollar gained, three will have to be spent.

So the people will end up taxed so a few can get rich. How many times does this have to happen before people wake up?

East Baton Rouge
St Tammany
Orleans
Jefferson
Ascension

Over and over and over LA politicians keep making the same "mistakes".

Sometimes, I hate this state.

It’s a feature not a bug and you already know why.

They are overdeveloping the shite out of the LP though. 300 home cookie cutter DSLD subdivisions as far as the eye can see with no end in sight.

No one ever takes a long term view or looks at the bigger picture.

Everyone is just concerned with getting theirs right now, damn anything and everything else.

They’re not mistakes. They’re executed just as intended.

Wait, so what are you saying? That the governments have a plan and force private industry to follow it?

Socialist scum.

LP can handle all the decades of meth explosions, surely it can handle a population one.

All of it. Look at the number of housing developments going up all around the area without any thought given to infrastructure. It’s insane.
