On the Ryan Hall cast, they keep imploring people not to stop under overpasses on the highway. Why? Or are they talking about people who stop in the lanes of traffic under overpasses? Nothing wrong with pulling off to shoulder under and overpass in my opinion.

It is one of the most dangerous places you can be in a tornado. Overpasses funnel the wind, and actually increases it.

I would say that sheltering under an overpass should be a last resort. People should seek shelter in a sturdy building if at all possible.

Yes, they were hit earlier. Same tornado also hit Bennington, NE.
