States that border each other that you don’t view as border states

I’ll start with a few:
Arkansas and Texas
North Carolina and Georgia
Oklahoma and Colorado
Missouri and Tennessee

These states do share a border but it just doesn’t seem like they’re neighbors and are states you don’t associate with one another typically.

Crazy how close some states are to being neighbors.

Like Illinois is extremely close to bordering Tennessee and Texas is the pretty close to bordering Arizona

You can get from Murphy, NC to Higdon, AL in less than 2 hours.
