Thibodaux couple arrested for alleged assault, sexually abuse, attempted murder of 15-year

A Thibodaux couple were arrested for sexually abusing, burning and trying to kill a 15-year-old, Terrebonne Parish deputies said. The investigation began on April 21 when the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office first learned of the 15-year-old victim who was found badly burned, shot multiple times, but still clinging to life, after a traffic crash that occurred on an I-10 service road in Baytown, Texas, on April 20.

I thought the problem was that they loved them too much then wanted to dispose of the evidence.

My question and maybe we will find out at the press conference they are holding today. Was their no checks and balances at school when the kid obviously was not showing up for class since Mardi Gras when she was allegedly burned. Also, she was shot twice and being treated at home for the burns.
Also, how did they end up in Texas? Were they planning on duping it somewhere in west Texas to less the chances they would connect it back to Louisiana?
