Thinking about going with peanut butter flavored corn this season. Tried persimmon flavored last season but it didn't seem to make much difference.

Ive already placed a mix of cracked corn and 12% all-stock sweet feed pellets in a gravity feeder .Be interesting to see if that will be successful or not.

I’m trying to find a mixture of corn and shelled peanuts. Have read some good reviews on it.

I find flavored corn has a tendency to clog the feeder so I usually just use only corn.

We stopped running soon feeders once the hogs showed up. Anything flavored would probably make the problem worse.

Honestly, corn is all you need

All feed does is keep the does coming(you aint going to kill a buck under a feeder). And I aint never seen does turn down corn

Yep same. The only thing I had any luck with was a corn/pellet mix

I mean... corn. Why anything else when this is the cheapest, and deer destroy it

You’d be shocked at my early season pics of bucks under a feeder in daylight. Once rifle season starts and acorns drop, it’s a different ball game. You have to get in the woods then, but bow season I’m always amazed at the bucks I’ve seen in a good plot coming to a feeder.

True. We always have late August early September pics of bucks eating bran piles and corn during daylight. Mid September and later, nada

I guess if there were competing feeders in the area and you wanted yours to be special, it might make sense?

This time of year we run 70/30 protein/corn in spinners and gravity (corn helps prevent clog-gage). Bucks come to both, like this guy who appeared the day after we started spinner pushing feed. He’ll hang around loyally till 1Oct. The obligatory “needs another year” is certainly appropriate; young bucks like this are a pleasure to watch mature.
