Don't ya love it when a prosecutor tells a jury the defendant must be hiding something because the defendant refuses to testify? They do it all of the time and get away with it because Judges used to be prosecutors.

Well, it appears the tables are turning. We are now in a world in which the prosecutors must be hiding something.

May they be hung by their ankles 6 inches from an extremely hungry fire ant mound when ultimately found guilty!!

Prosecutors Are NOW Pleading the 5th

For as much shite as Gaetz gets on this board, he is one of the few GOPers who actually gives a damn.

Gov't officials can hide behind the 5th when it comes to testifying about their official actions taken in their official capacity during duty......while serving in "the most transparent administration in history'".

Used to not be a fan due to his antics/persona, but his work with trying to limit the stock trading corruption w/ elected officals has been great to watch. He has also been very complimentary of AOC which is interesting saying she isn't bought and paid for/genuine.

Yea, it's ugly.

We may have to make some short term sacrifices to see long term good.

What did this prosecutor investigate and when did he investigate Trump.

Can we hear the initial interview lead-in to understand who this prosecutor is and what did he investigate?

If you are having to plead the fifth within your position as a public servant, that seems like an automatic set of charges involving the term “under color of authority.”

Holy
fricking
shite

If I were Trump's attorneys in the current Bragg fraud case, Id play that video during my closing and point out Pomerantz was the impetus of this whole fricking thing.

It'll generate some headlines, but those were some pretty loaded questions that should make even innocent parties invoke the Fifth.

Did you break the law? If he says, "no," and they find some obscure law that has no significance to the case, then they claim perjury. If someone asked if you've ever broken the law while doing your job duties, could you truly and confidently assert that the answer is no? Because I'm willing to bet I could find something that violated some law, even if it's something as benign as violating some internet access or usage statute.

Same thing with did you violate any constitutional rights? I can firmly believe I didn't, but who knows what some court some day would say.

So, I plead the Fifith. And any good lawyer worth his salt would tell you to do that as well.

I believe this happened last May. Pomerantz claimed he used his 5th Amendment rights to avoid the revealing of Grand Jury testimony, which would have been a crime.

"Did you knowingly break any laws when investigating President Trump" was a question that was asked to which he pled the "Fif"!!

You think these Fed prosecutors aren't corrupt?

Just look at Andrew Weissman and Norm Eisen.

Hasn’t Jack Smith been reprimanded as well.

No one climbs to that level without sacrificing integrity.
