What a smorgasbord of drives

Do you let that 1070 handle most of the transcoding, or does the 8700k do it all? I feel like you have a ton of people using your server

always wanted to check that out

Did yall get one yet?

Is anyone else having trouble with HDHomerun and Plex? When I go to watch live tv in plex it acts like it's buffering and eventually gives me an error. But it works perfectly fine on the HDHomerun app. Also, if I have the HD app running on any device at the same time, then Plex live tv works perfectly fine.

It's overwhelming at first but you'll get it - I'm a boomer and have mine setup like our very own Netflix. As others have said, I converted all my physical media to MP4 with Handbrake and use a dedicated PC with 2 4TB external drives for media. You can, as BC suggested, log into other Plex accounts as well though I've never found the need to as I have literally any/everything I want on ours.

After reading through some of the threads on Plex I moved all my music to it.

My next step will be to put all my Blu-ray’s but I have no idea where to even start. I don’t even have a blu ray drive or know of any decent external ones I can rip blu rays from.

I’m very weary of this because of the strongly worded letters I used to receive from Cox in the past.

I guess I don’t need all of them because depending on the age of it I do have some digitally on vuduu or movies anywhere because the digital codes still work.

Shouldn't have too much trouble on invite-only sites, or we can not talk about usenet.

Torrents?

I use 1337x. If you google "top torrents" they're ranked #2 or #3. But use a VPN. You might get a few pop ups but they're nothing to worry about.

No, I don't think I got any invites. If anyone could send me one, cajunflix@gmail.com.

Thanks

I usually have around 20 streams at once off my Plex server at night. I think my CPU does the transcoding, but I am starting to use my 1070 to do my livestreaming and it helps so much.

In order to access movies and TV shows on Plex, you'll need access to a server that's hosting media content. Your friend was likely using his own Plex server to access his media library.

To get started with Plex, you'll need to create an account and download the Plex Media Server software onto a computer or network-attached storage (NAS) device. This software will allow you to organize and host your media library and make it available for streaming on other devices, like your Roku Ultra.

Once you've set up your own Plex server, you can connect your Roku Ultra to your Plex account and access your media library from there. You can also connect to other people's Plex servers, but you'll need to be invited to access their content.

To connect to another person's Plex server, you'll need their server address and a username and password if they require authentication. Once you have this information, you can add the server to your Plex account by going to "Settings" > "Manage Servers" > "Add Server" in the Plex app on your Roku Ultra.

Keep in mind that accessing media content without proper licensing or permission may be illegal and could potentially result in legal consequences. Be sure to only access media content that you have the legal right to view.

It has 6 SATA ports, but you can always throw an HBA into it
