Former LSU safety Jalen Mills was on the Paul Finebaum show Thursday and had some great comments about head Les Miles.

When asked about Mills' last game at Tiger Stadium, and what some thought would be Miles' last game as well, he said the following:

leslie is the luckiest coach in the land for having Louisiana talent at his backdoor and the highest paid staff. LSU could have a few more National Championships is he would get the F out the way and let his coordinator do his job.

and then the boys marched right on to that field and proceeded to barely beat one of the worst teams in the conference. Glad to know the status of the team's ability if that performance was doing whatever it takes and willing to 'die on the field'

So he's saying that they don't put 100% effort into winning unless there's an emotional cryfest as motivation? I wish there was another way to get our players to lay it all on the field EVERY week

It's no secret the players love their coach. He seems a likable guy. What's bothersome to some LSU fans is it took this Herculean effort, this willingness to die, to scratch out an ugly win at home against an awful A&M. Really, Les just needs a decent passing game and all would be well.

What was embarrassing was Les stopping the post game interview to sing the alma mater. It was sooooo cheesy!

I loved that part.

That was the best part. Miles put his team and the tradition of singing the alma mater above an interview with ESPN.

That was so embarrassing for the school and for Miles on a national level. How the AD or whoever was behind that clusterfrick did not get canned is beyond me.

That's pretty cool. Players obviously love playing for Miles.

I was expecting more?

Expecting more? He said they were LITERALLY going to die if need be just to get one old millionaire one more win. It doesn't get anymore real than that. They love Miles that much. It's astounding. Not one of my employees is ready to give up their life for me to hit one more target.
